How we’re giving you a more accessible website

At CareSuper, we aim to ensure our digital services are accessible to people with disabilities. We believe that dignity and equality are important, and we aim to provide products and services that can help our members be as independent as possible.

Bringing digital accessibility to members

A key element of our digital accessibility initiative is our engagement with an external accessibility consulting organisation, UserWay, to help our website conform with best-practice guidelines.

To bring members extra accessibility, we added the UserWay Website Accessibility Widget to our website in November 2025. It’s powered by a dedicated accessibility server.

What does the UserWay widget do?

The UserWay widget is an AI-powered tool that makes websites more accessible by providing a customisable interface.

It gives users the option to adjust the text size, colour contrast and saturation, and allows keyboard navigation and screen reader functionality.

The widget helps our site comply with accessibility standards like the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), which are technical standards that help make the digital world accessible to people with disabilities.

Using the accessibility widget

To use the widget, click the blue circle-shaped icon in the bottom left-hand of the screen. The widget can be applied to our website content, Member Online and our mobile app, but doesn’t cover PDFs, Product Disclosure Statements (PDSs), forms and calculators.

The UserWay widget doesn’t collect or store your website user data or private information.

Who can use the widget?

Everyone can use the widget. It’s specifically designed to make websites easier to read and navigate for people:

  • with a vision impairment
  • who experience motion sensitivity
  • who have dyslexia
  • who find animations and images distracting
  • who are colour blind
  • who have different cognitive and learning needs.

Limitations of the UserWay widget

It’s important to note that the UserWay widget might not always accurately present, display or translate the content on our website including, but not limited to, PDFs, Product Disclosure Statements (PDSs), forms and calculators. Whilst all care has been taken to ensure an accurate translation of online content, CareSuper is not responsible, nor liable, for any errors in translation, misinterpretation or content presented to you by the UserWay widget. If you have any feedback, questions or concerns about the widget, let us know. Before making a decision about CareSuper, you should consider if this information is right for you and read our Product disclosure statement, Target market determination and Financial services guide. These are available at caresuper.com.au/pds or by calling 1800 005 166.  We can provide a translated copy of PDSs, forms and any other information required by you upon request.
