CareSuper chief executive Julie Lander is pleased to announce that Jean-Luc Ambrosi and Christine Nguyen have recently been appointed to the fund’s Executive Leadership Team.

Jean-Luc Ambrosi appointed to newly created Customer Experience role (CXO)

Mr Ambrosi joined CareSuper in June 2022 and holds the newly created role of Chief Experience Officer. He is responsible for leading the digital, engagement and customer experience functions within the fund. This includes member communication, member education, insurance and advice. In creating the Experience portfolio Ms Lander explained that this team will serve as a key enabler to support the fund’s growth ambitions whilst meeting the needs of existing members and helping them to achieve their best possible outcomes in retirement.

Mr Ambrosi is a recognised industry leader in brand, digital and member experience. He was most recently at TelstraSuper where he served as the Executive General Manager Marketing & Digital for the past 8 years. Prior to this, he held a number of senior leadership roles with Vanguard, BlackRock and NAB. He is the author of the book ‘Branding to Differ’, published in November 2013.

The CareSuper team is delighted to have the exceptional skills and experience that Mr Ambrosi will bring to this critical role where he will be supported by existing senior managers, including Tas Tzoulis as Head of Digital and Engagement, Jinglu McLay as Head of Customer Experience and Michael Rooney as Head of Insurance. Also joining the Experience team is Ashley McAuliffe, who has been newly appointed to the position of Head of Advice. Mr. McAuliffe brings substantial and diverse experience, having previously held senior advice roles in private banking, business, wealth and asset management companies as well as education. Prior to joining CareSuper, Mr. McAuliffe was the Victorian Practice Manager for Mercer Financial Advice.

Christine Nguyen promoted to Chief Risk Officer (CRO)

Ms Nguyen joined CareSuper in October 2021 as the Head of Risk to enhance the fund’s risk capability. She has now been promoted to the role of Chief Risk Officer, where she is responsible for leading the Risk and Compliance team and managing CareSuper’s relationship with key regulators to ensure the fund maintains the highest governance standards.

Ms Nguyen has extensive experience in managing governance functions, having held a number of senior roles in superannuation, risk and compliance advisory services, consulting, and auditing. Prior to joining CareSuper, she was the Head of Enterprise Risk Management at AwareSuper and has previously served in senior risk-related roles at VicSuper, Mercer, Insurance Australia Group (IAG), AIA Australia and PwC Australia.

Ms Nguyen takes over the role from former Chief Risk Officer Belinda Ray who left CareSuper in March.

Commenting on the appointments, CareSuper’s chief executive Julie Lander said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Jean-Luc and Christine to CareSuper’s Executive Leadership Team. Both are highly accomplished in their field, and I am confident that they will bring fresh perspectives and augment the strategic thinking of the fund as CareSuper embarks on the next phase of its growth’.
